Humpybong Gin

All our Gins will include a special botanical that we will refer to as “Mystery”, which we hope will set us apart from the other Gins out there.
While doing our research on the history of the Redcliffe Peninsula, we were already aware of the significance of the name “Humpybong”, given that our oldest public school bears that name, as does a creek that runs through the Peninsula down to the foreshore at Redcliffe.
During our research, we came across a map of the Humpy Bong, Parish of Redcliffe, which is the image we choose to use for our first two releases, our Original Gin and Citrus Gin.
This map* is dated 1883 and bears the title “Plan of Humpy Bong, Parish of Redcliffe, County of Stanley, District of Moreton” and we now have a copy of it hanging in our Cellar Door area.
This map shows the initial 65 allotments on the peninsula and the names of the landowners at that time.

Award winning Gins
Humpybong Gin Myrtle Cascara
Awarded Silver Medal at the 2025 Australian International Spirits Awards in the Citrus Gin New World & Contemporary Gin Category and at the 2025 Royal Queensland Awards in the Contemporary Gin Category.
“The nose has lime leaf, lime zest, eucalyptus, tea tree and cucumber aromas. They are fresh, give good intensity and work in harmony. Lemon myrtle definitely. The palate shows a translation of these green citrus and herbaceous elements, supported by sweet lemon …the lemon is mostly contained and prevented from becoming a lemon myrtle gin. Underlying spirit is nice and clean and carries the botanicals well with appropriate intensity and clarity” Judge

“Generous use of well-explored native botanics. Extraction process of this is done well, no residual drying or dusty notes common in this style…”
Humpybong Gin Citrus
Awarded Bronze Medal at the 2025 Australian International Spirits Awards in the Citrus Gin New World & Contemporary Gin Category.
“Aroma is very muted but not unpleasant. Citrus really pops up on the palate. Perhaps a little spikey. Getting a barley sugar backbone and alcohol heat. Nice finish with warmth and citrus continuing…” Judge
